Legal Requirements:

Responder Training have devised this course to meet all the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

We have extensive experience in the crucial childcare field. All our tutors are registered
Occupational First Aid instructors with the Health and Safety Authority and with the
National Ambulance Training Board.

Target Audience:

This paediatric first aid course is suitable for a refresher course and for parents, grandparents and baby sitters and is ideal for anyone working in or with a desire to work in a professional childcare environment.

Course Content:

A mixture of theoretical and practical the course includes: First Aid Principles & Equipment, Child Assessment, Bleeding & Wounds, Child and Infant CPR, Obstructed Airway Management, Rescue Breathing, Unconsciousness, Burns and Scalds, Fractures & Sprains, Convulsions and Medical Emergencies.

Certificate Validation:

Upon successful completion of the course and examination participants will receive an Occupational First Aid Certificate valid for 3 years.

3rd, 10th, 17th August 2010

13th, 20th, 27th September 2010

Certificate Duration:

3 days – can be organised in day blocks, weekends or evening sessions. Refresher courses take 1 day only.
