Responder Training have devised this course to meet all the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
      
Responder Training have developed this course to comply with and fulfil all the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. These regulations reinforce the mandatory requirement (first published in 1993) on all employers to have a minimum number of First Aiders trained in Occupational First Aid and available to the workplace. All our tutors are registered
Occupational First Aid instructors with the Health and Safety Authority and with the
National Ambulance Training Board.
      
Target Audience:
      
This course is for those employed as, or intending to become, an Occupational First Aider. Students will develop the skills necessary to diagnose and treat injuries or illness and give effective life support to casualties.
      
Course Content:
A mixture of theoretical and practical the course includes: First Aid Principles & Equipment, Scene Management, Casualty Assessment, Bleeding & Wounds, Adult CPR, Choking, Heart Disease, Respiratory System, Unconsciousness, Burns and Scalds, Fractures & Sprains and Medical Emergencies.
